I’m running very behind with my day today, due to not feeling well for most of the day, and then when I did start to feel better, setting things up for an exciting project that I will tell you about a little later.
I have been working diligently on meeting my goals for Harm. I haven’t always made it. Like the last couple of days, for example, I haven’t managed to write at all. Part of that is because of the new project, and partly because – well Monday through Wednesday I work very long days, and if I don’t get a chance to write on my lunch break on those days, then I probably won’t have a chance once I get home. Still the current word count is 17,450 – ZHaCC has been launched and is currently on her way out of the Sol system.
And so, to the exciting news…
Distant Kitchens is live!
I bet you’re asking, “What is Distant Kitchens, Eirian?
Distant Kitchens is the journey I am making, mindfully though the cook book called In My Kitchen by Nana Visitor. It began as a crazy thought I had to work my way through her book, learning to adjust and make substitutions to accommodate my Alpha-gal Syndrome, in a very mindful way. I am sharing this in the form of a blog, and associated Twitter and Periscope accounts. I’ll be sharing some of the conversations I have with Nana about the cooking process and the qualities of food, and the sacredness of food preparation, and putting my own ‘spin’ on the ingredients and preparations, and all the fun things that go along with that.
The last couple of days have been setting up the Distant Kitchens blog (on Dreamwidth), and this evening the Twitter and Periscope accounts. I hope you’ll follow me there, and who knows what will happen in the future.
